In this module students will hear from peers as they describe dealing with serious issues surrounding depression and suicide. Students will examine the warning signs that someone may be in crisis or thinking about suicide as well as the steps they should take to actively and immediately seek help for themselves or others. They will reflect on a variety of scenarios and articulate ways in which they can provide support for a person in crisis or seek support for themselves. Students will then have an opportunity to collaborate with other middle school students and participate in a guided discussion about what they have learned including questions they may have.
