About the Course
In this module students will define the terms of empathy and compassion, including what it means to practice self-compassion. They will learn how to take others’ points of view and the difference between empathy and sympathy. Students will hear from peers how they gained knowledge of what empathy is in action, using scenarios and experiences. Finally, students will have an opportunity to reflect on what they have learned and extend their learning through a set of activities designed to foster open dialogue with other students to actively participate in the process of empathy and compassion.
