About the Course

In this module students will focus on the concept of resilience and how they can overcome adversity with a healthy mindset. They will address common misconceptions about resilience and learn how they can build resilience themselves. This module empowers students to respond to adversity with specific methods that encourage teens to choose healthy responses to challenging situations. Students will learn to approach difficulties with realistic optimism and develop a sense of purpose to keep them motivated through trying times. Students will hear stories from peers describing how they bounced back from adverse experiences. Finally, students will use specific coping skills, habits, and attitudes that will help them both in the moment of difficulty and in the long term.
